Have you heard about Lazarus?
His story, recorded in the Bible, is a powerful one.
Lazarus was dead (yes, literally dead) and Jesus called him out of the grave. After being given new life, you know Lazarus must have seen the world differently...
I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.
Jesus
Jesus wants to bring all people from death to life. And when you have “resurrection eyes”, you see the world differently:
No mistake is beyond His forgiveness
Every person matters because they are loved by God.
Even mundane routine is re-calibrated for mission.
Jesus calls us to greater joy, love, and meaning through receiving a new identity in Him. "Come to me, all who are weary, and I will give you rest." We find our purpose not in what we do but in Whose we are.
As Lazarus Church, a Christian church in the Spring and The Woodlands Texas area, we have a simple rhythm of following Jesus in our Monday through Saturday. We gather for worship on Sunday (at Birnham Woods Elementary). And we're simply inviting people to walk with us as we walk with Jesus.
